Fall is approaching fast and we are so excited to get new and returning volunteers excited about our new plans for Children’s ministry! Whether you are a seasoned volunteer or just looking to get more information on what volunteering for children’s ministry entails we want you to come! 3rd Sunday Celebrations! Led by Pastor Bitrus, during worship at both campuses on 3rd Sundays, we will be inviting congregation members forward who have celebrations  (birthdays, anniversaries, triumphs) to share and be prayed for.  We look forward to celebrating milestones with you!

Star Words: As the Magi were led to Jesus by the guidance of the star, Star Words are spiritual focus words that were distributed on Epiphany Sunday.  These words are intended to inspire reflection, growth, and discernment throughout the year. Service Opportunities

Park and Ride!: August 27th - September 7th: We still have 32 shifts that need filling for the State Fair Park and Ride. We are slightly behind where we usually are in sign-ups so please make sure to solidify your shift and raise funds for your ministry of choice. The sign up is linked here! Questions? Care Team Volunteers needed! Do you have spiritual gifts of care, service, and compassion?  The Care Team needs you!  Centennial UMC's Care Team offers friendly visits and calls, provides rides to church and medical appointments, and offers help with light housework and errands.  Training and support provided by Care Team lead Peggy Rhodes and Pastor Bitrus Bamai.  If interested, please reach out to Peggy Rhodes | peggy.l.rhodes@gmail.com

Family Weekend at Camp Koronis: August 21st-23rd, Camp Koronis, Paynesville, MN. Join Centennial families for a weekend at Camp Koronis, August 21-23! This camp is designed for families with kids ages 2-years-old - 12th grade. Families will stay in air-conditioned motel-style rooms; meals provided. Schedule includes time for families together, parent free time (while kids are supervised doing age-appropriate activities), worship, swimming, and more. Community Announcements

All Church Ice Cream Social: Wednesday, September 9th, 6:00pm-7:00pm, Roseville Campus Linden Lounge. Join us for an evening of fellowship and ice cream as we get excited for the upcoming program year at both campuses! This is a great chance to talk to one another, meet new people, and get connected to one another from both campuses.

Shattered and Shared Truths in Minnesota: Hope and Healing After Operation Metro Surge and PARRIS: Tuesday, August 18th, 6:00pm-8:30pm, Faith United Methodist Church (3239 70th St. E., Inver Grove Heights, MN 55076). Faith United Methodist Church will be hosting a Respectful Conversations event for the community, put on by the Minnesota Council of Churches. This must-attend, free MCC Respectful Conversation™ is designed to help build the scaffolding of behaviors and attitudes that will shape a more peaceful future for all of us in the aftermath of operations Metro Surge and PARRIS. New Art Display!: Have you seen the art in the back of the sanctuary? On display now through the end of September is the art of Kevin DuCharme. He is a local artist who was introduced to us by his uncle, Roy Bell. Check out the information posted next to the art if you want to know more. The mission of the Fine Arts Ministry Team is to showcase the beauty of God's creation and make connections with each other and with our community. Thank you, Kevin, for sharing your art with us! Blessing of the Backpacks: Sunday, September 6th, during worship. Students, teachers, parents, and loved ones of all three, come and bring your backpack, workbag, pencil case, whatever you would like blessed during worship as you start off the school year!

Welcome Sunday: Sunday, September 13th, during worship and after. Join us for the kick off to our programming year! Join us first for worship at 10:30am featuring our wonderful Centennial Band! Then after worship we will have a chance to learn about small groups starting the following week, getting your children & youth registered for the 2026-27 year, get snippets of information on Centennial Ministries, and to join us for a grill out/potluck! We will be providing the main meal but we are encouraging people to bring sides, drinks, and desserts to share. We will be gathering outdoors, weather permitting.

Realm Connect is our online data base where you can access the online directory, sig- up for volunteer opportunities, view meeting minutes, and see all of your groups! We are integrating realm more and more for our internal communications so if you do not have a login yet, please contact Communications & Office
