Service Opportunities

Centennial United Methodist Church Annual School Supply Drive: July 1st-July 31st. The Kids In Need Foundation is dedicated to ensuring students and teachers have the supplies and support they need to learn, grow, and thrive in the classroom. For many students something as small as a missing pencil or an empty notebook can create an invisible barrier between them and their potential. But when those barriers are removed, something transformative happens-school supplies don’t just equip a student to learn; they ignite confidence, create a sense of belonging, and ensure every child has what they need to pursue their goals and dreams.

CUMC has been contributing to the KINF location in Roseville for several years. Cash donations are preferred...more “bang for the buck” with bulk purchasing. If you choose to contribute, please make a check payable to CUMC and put KINF in the memo section. The compassion team thanks you in advance for your contributions.

2026 Ignite Your Heart Fundraiser: Saturday, August 15th, 11:00am-1:00pm. This year, we are honored to welcome St. Paul Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Stacie Stanley as our keynote speaker. Every dollar you contribute goes directly to scholarships for BIPOC residents in the St. Paul Urban Teacher Residency Training Program. Your gift is 100% tax deductible and 100% invested in the next generation of educators who will shape our communities for decades to come. Thank you for believing in our mission - to educate, elevate, and build generational wealth from the ground up. Your presence and support mean everything to us. We hope to see you there. Community Announcements

"What happened with the vote?" An update and devotion: Wednesday, August 5th, 7:00pm-7:45pm, Roseville Campus Fellowship Hall. In line with Centennial's mission of being Authentic, Thinking, and Active disciples of Jesus, the Leadership Board will be addressing the lingering questions they have heard from members regarding the various changes and transitions from the past few months. This update and devotion will create space to get more insight on some of the recent decisions with pieces of liturgy and prayer to help guide us through and guide us forward. The Leadership Board will be sharing information regarding why they didn't move forward in May with a consolidation vote, clarifying the roof work and how it was paid for, an update on the insurance, clarification on our campus pastor model, and ending the night with a devotion on moving forward with communion.

Park and Ride!: It's that time of year again that the State Fair takes over our lives as we relive memories of family trips to the fair, or reminisce and delightfully smile about long-lasting experiences with friends at the fairgrounds. Along with this brings our yearly commitment to the state fair to provide volunteers for the State Fair Park and Ride service. This commitment brings with it the opportunity to raise money for the church group of your choice. We need a total of 6 volunteers per day, across three different time period that run from 8:00am to midnight (Sundays are from 1pm to midnight). Sign up now and raise funds for your church group, the sign up is linked HERE! Questions? Contact Steve Rohde | srohde@centennialumc.org.

“Dip Your Toes In” Speaking Up for Democracy in authentic, thinking, and active ways: Sunday, June 26th, directly after worship, in the sanctuary. Centennial is stepping more boldly into this time. We want to publicly show ourselves as a community following Jesus – speaking up for democracy in authentic, thinking, and active ways. You'll recognize this! We will ask ourselves: What did Jesus do in the face of abusive religious and civil authority? What have Christians done since then? What does he want us to do now? You are invited to a brief "dip your toe in" session next Sunday, July 26, directly after worship. We'll provide clues, a small snack -- and find out from you what days and times will work for you to participate in three public discipleship sessions this summer. We look forward to discussing further with you. Questions? Contact Constance Gruen | cgruen50@gmail.com or Amy Swalley | lundswalley@gmail.com.
Download the Centennial App!: A new way to connect with groups, find events, watch past worship services, and give all in once place. Look up Centennial UMC in the apple or android app store! [CLICK HERE]
