Super Bowl sub fundraiser: Sunday, February 2

Super Bowl subs are back and bigger than ever! Fill out a card or use the online form to preorder your sandwiches by Friday, January 31st and pick them up following the service at either campus on Sunday, February 2 to bring home to your family for the big game! Sandwiches are $20 for a HUGE sandwich, could feed 2-4 people easily and proceeds go to the summer youth mission trips to Wisconsin and North Carolina.

Mardi Gras dinner theater Cabaret: Saturday, February 22 | St. Anthony Park Campus

Celebrate Mardi Gras in style! We’re putting together a light dinner and fantastic show for all members of both campuses of the Centennial family to enjoy. Interested in being a part of the show? We’re looking for actors, musicians, poets, and dancers to make this a fantastic cabaret performance!

Church directories: Photo Directories are in! They will be available for pick up at both campuses for those who took a photo or submitted a photo for the 2019 directory. At Roseville campus, go to the Welcome Center near the Nursery.

 

Sock Drive for Shelters: The Centennial UMW women are collecting newly purchased socks for Simpson Housing and other shelters during the month of January, in honor of UMW Sunday which will be January 26th. There is a designated box at the Connection Point at Roseville campus for sock donations, and all in the congregation are welcome to contribute. New clean socks are a badly needed item for shelters during the winter months. Thank you.

 

New Sunday Morning Class: Class for 20-somethings with Pastor Brian. We will meet at 11:00am in the Young Adult Lounge at Roseville Campus.

 

CONNECTIVITY: Sunday, January 26 will meet in Asbury 1 at 11AM to continue our discussion of "This Emotional Life."

 

Calling All Women: Do you love to read? Want to hear other women’s opinions on the books you love? Then this small group is for you. Women’s Faithwalk meets the fourth Monday of the month in the church library to discuss a book. Our selections are varied including fiction, non-fiction, biography and more. The discussions are led by volunteers from within the group on a rotating basis. Come once, come on a regular basis. You are welcome. Creating caring communities around mental health:

Wednesday, January 29 | 6:30-8:00pm | Roseville Campus
A speaker from NAMI will be coming to speak on the topic of “Creating caring communities around mental health”. A speaker from NAMI will be coming to address parents of youth in particular but all ages are welcome to attend this informative talk, followed by a discussion time. Childcare will be provided.

 

Play 500: Friday, January 31 | 7:00-9:00pm | Join a friendly group to play 500 once a month. All are welcome, whether you know the card game or want to learn. The Healthy Brain:

Monday, February 3 | 10am-12 noon | Roseville Campus - Fellowship Hall

Can your brain span match your life span? Discover strategies to help ensure a healthier brain based on four things you can do for mental fitness. This will be an engaging and educational event, with time for questions afterward.

 

Authentic, Thinking, Active Potluck:  Please join us for the next potluck on Sunday, February 9 in the St. Anthony Park Fellowship Hall.  The potluck starts at 6:30pm and the speaker will follow at 7:00pm.  The speaker will be Karen Ballen speaking about your energy body. "You are familiar with your physical body – but do you know anything about your energy body? Come learn about your energy system and try a self-help technique for relaxation." Please bring a potluck item to share. All ages are welcome.

 

Fall Prevention and Your Balance: Monday, February 17 | 1:00pm | Roseville Campus

An opportunity to learn about risk factors for falls at home, how to assess and improve your current balance and strength, and modifications for fall prevention. Roseville Campus | VBS is back and we need your help! Both campuses of students will come together for a VBS focused on serving together- our focus will be on environmental justice and awareness- we will still provide snacks, stories, crafts and games but it will all be focused on the big picture of making our students good stewards of our environment.
